Tim Daisy -
Chicago – based drummer, marimbist, and composer Tim Daisy has worked in the fields of improvised and composed music since 1997. He has performed, recorded, and toured with many acclaimed musicians and ensembles from both the North American and European improvised music scenes including: Mars Williams, Ken Vandermark, Fred Lonberg -Holm, Elisabeth Harnik, Dave Rempis, James Falzone, Russ Johnson, Havard Wiik, Mikolaj Trzaska, Clayton Thomas, Per Ake Holmlander, Steve Swell, Aram Shelton, Michael Zerang, Kyle Bruckmann, and Katherine Young.

Adam Shead - 
Adam Shead is an American Improviser, Percussionist, Composer, and Electronicist specializing in improvised and interdisciplinary performance. Adam has performed at renowned venues domestically and internationally such as The Jazz Showcase, Experimental Sound Studio, The Whistler, Bimhuis, Zaal100 and De Ruimte as well as performing at such festivals as The Present is Present in Amsterdam, The Chicago Jazz Festival, and The Ann Arbor Edge Festival. Adam has had the pleasure of performing with such musicians as Mary Oliver (ICP Orchestra), John Dikeman (William Parker, Joe McPhee), Benny Green, Wycliffe Gordon, Ada Rave, and Jasper Stadhouders (Ken Vandermark, Andy Moor). Adam has founded such groups as Dod Kalm, Adam Shead Octet, and AS String Quartet. Adam holds a BM in Percussion Performance and is currently pursuing a Masters in Improvisation at The University of Michigan.

Ben Willis - 
Ben Willis is a bassist, improviser, and composer. His omnivorous approach to music has led him to perform alongside members of the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Wolf Eyes, and the Violent Femmes. An avid collaborator, he has often worked with movement and multimedia artists in experiential performances. He is currently working as a composer/performer with Detroit-based immersive theater troupe Nerve. In the past, he has developed original work for Madison, WI’s Cycropia and Li Chiao-Ping dance companies, and collaborated on a video piece with legendary dancer Sally Gross and video artist Doug Rosenberg. Over the past several years, he has distilled hours of bass improvisations into a set of solo double bass pieces. In 2015, he self-released these pieces as the album Egret/Flatlander, and presented them at the International Society of Bassists New Music Summit, curated by Mark Dresser. Though the summer and fall of 2016, he was an Artist in Residence through Spread Art @detroit contemporary, where he focused on developing new solo and ensemble works.

Chris Sies - 
Chris Sies is a percussionist and improvisor who seeks to bring visceral musical experiences to diverse audiences. Currently based in Chicago, Chris is the percussionist with Latitude 49 and an active member of the Willo Collective.

Benjamin Kernes - 
Benjamin Kernes is a composer, performer, and co-founder of Slate Arts + Performance. He will be presenting a new solo work for guitar, oven rack, egg beater, and laptop.
